    No, the Aquagear filter is not designed to filter salt water. We do not recommend using the Aquagear filter with anything but tap water.
  • Does Aquagear make water more alkaline, or raise pH?

    Aquagear Filters can very slightly increase the pH of your source water by reducing acidic contaminants. However, the Aquagear filter is not designed to increase pH. The resulting pH will depend upon the pH of the initial source water put into the Aquagear Filter Pitcher.

    The flushing assembly will unscrew if you twist counter-clockwise. We understand that sometimes the flushing assembly can be stubborn when it comes to unscrewing! We recommend twisting the Aquagear filter clockwise while twisting the flushing assembly counter-clockwise at the same time.
