Why are there black specks in my reservoir?

If you see any black specks, those are pieces of our carbon filter media. They are completely non-toxic. We recommend flushing your filter for 2 minutes to expel any excess carbon from the filter. You can find filter flushing instructions here. If black specks persist even after flushing, please send us an email at questions@goaquagear.com so we can help out! Although safe for consumption, these specks are unsightly and shouldn't be in your water!
