How long does the Aquagear filter last?

The Aquagear filter is designed to last 120 gallons, which three times longer than most competitor filters. On average, this is about 6 months of daily use for most families using Aquagear, which is why our subscription program provides you with a new replacement filter every 6 months by default. Even if you estimate you have used less than 120 gallons, we recommend changing your filter at the six-month mark.
