We recommend washing the lid, reservoir, and carafe (everything but the filter) every 2-3 weeks with hot soapy water. Whenever possible, keep the Aquagear Filter Pitcher out of direct sunlight (in the fridge if possible) to prevent bacterial growth.
The filter should only be rinsed with water. It is not required, but can be recommended for customers to remove the gasket when cleaning the filter, but the gasket must be put back on top of the filter facing the same direction (cannot be flipped around).
