What does "Tested to NSF Standards" mean?

"Tested to NSF Standards" means that our Aquagear Filter Pitcher has been tested to the standards for contaminant reduction established by the NSF organization. When we submit our filter for testing, we specify that our filters are tested to NSF Standards, which are strict testing protocols that are recognizable to our customers.
